Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Bob Gillespie began drawing at an early age. Following high school, Bob attended the Harris School of Art in Nashville, TN and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. When Bob began having problems with his eyesight, he was unable to follow his true passion of painting. After nearly 14 years, Bob regained sight in his left eye that allowed him to continue his passion. In 2008, Bob Gillespie began painting again.

Today, Bob Gillespie resides in Mt. Juliet, TN. He is, once again, able to transform his love of nature into works of art through his paintings. Bob mostly paints with Acrylics, but has used Water Colors and Oils in the past. Bob has a true sense of detail in his many works of art, depicting nature at it's best. One of Bob's greatest achievements was to provide the artwork for the Hunting Stamp for the State of Tennessee.
